Tom House's short fiction has appeared in thirty publications in the United States and Canada, including Harper’s, The North American Review, New England Review, The Antioch Review, Ninth Letter, The Gettysburg Review, Chicago Review, and Grain. He was raised in East Islip, Long Island, the setting of his award-winning first novel, The Beginning of Calamities, and lives in the Hamptons. A former fellow at The MacDowell Colony, Ragdale Foundation, and The Atlantic Center for the Arts, House has taught writing at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he received an MA in English and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Arts in Teaching in English. He is represented by Mitchell Waters at Curtis Brown, Ltd., New York.
